An exceptional tour for discovering the wild west such as the descent of the Tsiribihina river by traditional bpat. It’s a small adventure along the river then climbing to Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. Observation of other nocturnal wildlife at Kirindy reserve, the famous baobabs of Morondava. We did not forget to visit the place where there is the king of lemurs and his paradise such as Andasibe Mantadia national park.

Tour and Circuit proposed:

Day 1

Antanananarivo – Andasibe

Pick up at the hotel; continue the journey to the route national N°2. It's possible to visit the Pereyas reserve with a short break for photos at Mandraka.

Check in to Feon'ny Ala and staying there for 2 nights.
Day 2

Andasibe

The park regroup the special reserve such us INDRI INDRI. The reserve is indeed famous for its INDRIS colonies with a powerful shout and impressive size. A 4 hour tour will be offered ANALAMAZAOTRA circuit; departure to VAKONA reserve in the afternoon.
Day 3

Andasibe – Antsirabe

Same route as day 1; we cross the refreshing highlands with their surprising mud houses, their small churches perched on nipples or on the hillside, the imposing rocks evrywhere, the ricefield terraces like a big staircase and sadder but not less spectacular, lavaka or collapse due by the erosion. We stop in a small corner that served a good meal for lunch. We continue our trip with rythm "MORAMORA" to the south by visiting the aluminum cooker manufacturing at Ambatolampy. Form there is the coldest city of Madagascar in the austral winter.

Day 4

Antsirabe – Miandrivazo

Visit of the city by rickshaw like the miniature, the colonial buildings like the cathedral, the baths thermal ... Departure to Miandrivazo; visit volcanic lakes like Andraikiba and Tritriva. Our lunch is in a small village that served a good Malagasy dish .

Miandrivazo is a big village surrounded by a mountain and peaceful place; it is the starting point for the descent of tsiribihina.

Day 5

Descent Tsiribihina by dugout

Departure for an adventure of 3 days and 2 nights; before entering the gorge, our journey is framed by beautiful landscapes with whistlers of various varieties of birds. There are for example chameleons, herons ...

Night under tent and food in bivouac on the sandbank.
Day 6

Tsiribihina River

This is our second day on the river; life flows slowly over the Tsiribihina and you can discover on the beginning of the journey the cultivation of rice, tobacco, zebu breeding and fishing but also the toilet, cooking or traditional laundry.

Always under tent and food in bivouac accompganed by the local guy sing with their folk materials.
Day 7

Antsiraraka – Belo/Tsiribihina

We arrive at the end and stop in a small village called Tanambao; parrots, bats and maybe crocodiles will decorate you during this day. We will take a zebu cart for about 6 km to a small village built around a large big baobab trees (Antsiraraka); it is the only way to reach this village because there is a crossing of crocodile infested marigolds. Where the 4x4 waiting us to drive to Belo / Tsiribihina. Arrival in Tsimafana village after 2 hours of travel then crossing again Tsiribihina river by ferry.

Day 8

Belo/Tsiribihina – Bekopaka

Departure to Tsingy villge in the afternoon. It is a journey of about 100km but in 4 hours drive with a good 4wd. We passed more village village during the drive and the children's hapyness to see us enliven our trip. Crossed the Manambolo river by ferry then check in to Tanankoay or Orchidées hotel for 2 nights.
Day 9

Tsingy from Bemaraha

The Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park is unique in the world, classified world heritage of UNESCO as well as the natural and media inventory of the operation Okavango of Nicolas Hulot, references and superlatives do not miss to describe these formations karst in needle shapes whose means of access are as epic as the geological history of its famous peaks.

We start our visit with the big Tsingy; crossed by the gigantic labyrinth and its cathedral; climbing up to the point of view and the belvedere then go down to the hanging pond.

Back to the village in the afternoon to visit the small Tsingy.
Day 10

Bekopaka - Kirindy

Same way as day 4; 1 hour for break lunch at Belo / Tsiribihina to enjoy their shellfish dishes then crossed the river Tsiribihina ferry and off-road direction to Kirindy reserve. This reserve has an area of 12,500ha with a dry forest. Before, it was managed by the Swiss but in our day, it is managed by the Malagasy government. Kirindy is an ecological reserve to preserve the endangered species of trees: "the fake camphor" for example, which entered the manufacture of the erotic statuary Sakalava-Vezo, unfortunately looted since. You can see a reproduction of this type of funerary art on site, and explanatory panels well done on wildlife.

There are also 2 species of diurnal lemurs such as propithecus verreauxi and lemur fulvus rufus. More rare, the fosa and the kapidolo tortoise.

Day 11

Kirindy - Morondava

We have 3 or 4 hours to visit Kirindy then drive to Morondava crossing the forest of baobabs. Morondava is the capital of Menabe also baobab garden. We are lucky to see the sacred baobab, the baobab in love and the famous avenue of baobabs at sunset.

Day 12

Morondava - Antsirabe

Return day to Antsirabe; we go back to Miandrivazo where we will done a little break for lunch.

Check in to Green Park.
Day 13

Antsirabe - Antananarivo

Road direction to Antananarivo; Visit the city like Queen Palace, buy some souvenir at the digue market and transfer to airport for international correspondence.
