This kinds of tour at Madagascar is special to discover all sud and east part of Madagascar. The tour start at the gates of Tana; for a taste, we take the route national N°2 to reach a small village called Andasibe. This village is about 150Km from Tana and in the middle of a dense tropical forest where the good link that lemurs can live according to their condition’s living. Nature regains its rights on the sud; Hills, huge block of round stones and traditional highland villages with small houses facing west. They built them with laterite topped with thatch. We drive along RN7 to the sud until Fianarantsoa for a few days with various activities such as visiting Ranomafana National Park. From here we had to go to the east coast by an old train connects from Fianarantsoa to Manakara: this wich obviously assumes the life of less remote places and who debauch the local products of this region. We arrive on the big city where we cross the pangalane channel with its more wild vegetation and we will see that the life of the villages is more active than in Tamatave. And here is the sud-east coast; it is part of a great adventure or the way nicknamed “bac plus 10”. Desert and traditional cropslandscapes, termite mounds with groups of zebu that can meet. Of course we are really out of nature trails. From Fort-Dauphin to Anakao we find warmth with the beauty of the beach with fine sand. Sometimes, we meet difficult way and  adventurous because of the sandy, sometimes stony. The Berenty reserve and Tsimanampetsotsa offer us good memories of their  fauna and flora as well as the peculiarity of the region.
To finish and forget the adventuruous during our holiday on this sud–east coast, Anakao offers a nice place to relax and refresh the sun of Madagascar. We try to reach a little bit to Nosy ve where an island that can be done snorkelling, diving …
We will take again the route national N°7 to Antananarivo; we cross the hight land of Ihorombe, the massif of Isalo and Tsaranoro valley. The temperature changes little by little as well as the climate and the vegetation.

Day 1

Antananarivo - Andasibe

We start our tour at Madagascar on east. Tamatave road's where the first commercial port of this country. Nature totally changes because it’s refreshing, far from the torrid and desert lands of the sud and west. Break photo at Mandraka and possible to visit "PEREYAS" reserve.

Staying to Feon'ny Ala for 2 nights.
Day 2

Andasibe

Andasibe reserve is famous for its INDRI INDIR colony. There are about 60 groups of INDRIS but you cannot see all of them in one day. It’s also possible to see 3 species of diurnal lemurs such as fulvus lemur, gray lemur and rubriventer and 6 nocturnal species of microcebus rufus, hepalemur microdon ...
Day 3

Andasibe - Antsirabe

We will return by the same road to Antananarivo then direction on sud to reach Antsirabe or "VICHY" city, We cross central highlands admiring their cultivation techniques with rice field terraces as a great walk. We stop in a small village called Behenjy for lunch; this little corner offers you fat duck. It’s possible to see the manufacture of kitchen's materials at Ambatolampy like casserole, fork, art ...; all that tool are made from the recycled aluminum waste.

Day 4

Antsirabe - Ranomafana

After good breakfast, we continue our tour to make city tour like miniature, market, colonial buildings house like railway station as well as "Therme hotel" where king Mohamed V had imposed there during several years during his period of exile.

We progress our tour at Madagascar to the sud until Ambositra which is most spectacular city in wood architect, crafts and sculpture. A good restaurant on town center with panoramic views offers an European and Malagasy dish according to your choice. Visit art's gallery then direction to Ranomafana.

Day 5

Ranomafana - Fianarantsoa

Ranomafana is a small village lost in a mountain, hidden in a bottom of a large valley and immersed bush forest of the east but rich in biodiversity for fauna and flora. Ranomafana means "hot water". We start our tour very early so that we can admire and say hello to the lemurs. We have fantastic picture holiday with them.

Departure to Fianarantsoa around 11am; lunch break in a small good restaurant with panoramic views of the city. Visit of the upper town and SAHAMBAVY tea plantation.

Day 6

Jungle TRAIN Fianarantsoa – Manakara

This company F.C.E ensures the outlets of a local products between sud-east Fianarantsoa - Manakara. It's an old TRAIN and sometimes remains random. We cross a different landscapes in plain and highland.

Many stop during the tour and in each area, sellers offer their products like donut, banana.... .

Day 7

Manakara: PANGALANE CHANNEL

This canal stretches along the coast east from Tamatave to Farafangana for about 700km; sometimes, it’s look like of lake, sometimes it is a channel!!!! The boatman bring us to the sud of the canal to discovery traditional villages as well as plantation of coffee, cloves, vanilla; tour ends at the commissioner's cavern (best place and nice beach hidden in a corner that you can swim). Of course, all of this excursion is accompanied by a picnic lunch on the canal.
Day 8

Manakara - Vaingandrano

We will take the RN°12; passing through to Vohipeno where the place of the progeny Arabs. This city is not built on colonial mode. There is a good animation in its little market. It is a city in a characteristic enclave, it also preserves a style very peasant and the Antaisaka who live remain attached the traditions which found their identity.

Arrival at Vangaindrano then staying to Huguette hotel.
Day 9

Vangaindrano - Sahandravinany

Continuation of our tour at Madagascar; the landscape changes because we pass on an arid and desert upland; it happen because of humid climate of the sud-east and its forests. We cross the first 3 ferry on this portion trip.

Arrival at Sanhandravinany at the end of evening then staying to "Chez Victor" for 2 nights.
Day 10

Sahandravinany

It’s a small village isolated in eastern sud part of Madagascar and at the edge of the Ocean Indian. This charming village offers a beautiful panoramic view and possible to see whales in September. Beautiful nature, people are nice: smiling and charming ... It's really an opportunity to meet with the local peoples and doing exchange with them about cultural.
Day 11

Sahandravinany – Fort-dauphin

Starting to an adventure tour at Madagascar before reaching Manantenina village, we cross 3 kinds of ferry with a manual cable. Typical landscapes of sud-east region such as houses piling, lush vegetation and rice fields.

Between Manantenina to fort-Dauphin that we cross the other last 4 ferry and all equipped with motors.

Arrival at Fort-Dauphin in the evening then staying at Lavasoa hotel for 2 nights. (Beautiful place at Libanona with panoramic view in front-of the ocean)
Day 12

Fort - Dauphin: LOKARO § EVATRA excursion

Fort-Dauphin is a particular region nestled on a narrow stretch of coastline wedged by the chain of Mountain Anosienne on which its builds. Taking in full face winds trade. We will spend our journey on doing an excursion outing to LOKARO Bay and EVATRA. Not that there will be a lush beach surrounded by a nature in this area; our guide already prepare a picnic lunch for you.
Day 13

Fort-Dauphin - Berenty

Cultivation and planting of sisal are the first economic sources of this region; that's why we find sisals plantation everywhere in this sud region. We pass dense vegetation landscapes with a humid and warmer climate.

Arrival at Berenty then staying at Berenty Lodge; a night walk will be offers.
Day 14

Berenty: DANCE LEMUR

Berenty is located at the heart of a sisal plantation and dense forest. Its private reserve belongs of "Haulme" family, settled with several generations. We have a possibility to see MAKI especially dancing lemur just near us who are accustomed to our presence: a souvenir unforgettable for us. Departure to Lavanono around 11am; lunch break at Ambosary.

Day 15

Lavanono – Itampolo

Off-road to Itampolo; we should previous a picnic lunch because it’s the most difficult portion and long tour on this sud region. Fisherman Village and paradise for windsurfers or kitesurfers.

Staying to Lavanono Lodge.
Day 16

Itampolo – Ambola (Tsimanampetsotsa national park)

We continue our tour ath sud Madagascar to Ambola; we are already on the Mahaflay upland. Full of euphorbia during our route, guinea fowl, drongo or kings of Malagasy birds. Arrival at Ambola around 11am then break for lunch. We enjoy our half day on visiting Tsimanampetsotsa reserve; there is a white fish that gives this whitish complexion according to the local beliefs but in fact it is a salt lake resting on marly limestone. It is possible to discover baobabs and caves.

Day 17

Ambola - Anakao

Road direction to Anakao. Baobab, Malagasy funerary art, flamboyant can be accompagned along route. Anakao is ppular for fishermanvillage and are on sud because 70% of peoples practice this acivity. Other excursion like snorkeling, diving with Vezo boat are recommended.

Overnight to Longo Vezo for 3 nights.
Day 18 - 19

Anakao: Excursion NOSY VE

A morning grace for you on the first day while driver will continue his route to Betioky to reach Tulear. Excursion by boat on Nosy ve island for the second day; a nice place offers for a superb deserted beach with very beautiful bottoms and shelters. A colony of birds only at Madagascar like the straws in tail which hides in the bushes in the sand to lay.

Relax, beach, visit fisherman village on the third day.
Day 20

Anakao – Tulear – Ranohira

Transfer by speed boat to Tulear; it is the city of dust and heat with more or less 2.800.000 inhabitants, capital of sud-west. City tour like shell market then departure to Ranohira. Baobab, Atandroy tombs, Bara are almost found along route. We passed to a small town called ILAKAKA where this city rich of mines like Saphir; break for photos above a bridge to see people doing laundry, sorting gold, washing ...

Da 21

Isalo

It is a huge eroded sandstone massif dating from the Jurassic period. This relief is ruiniform and the panoramas are splendid especially when the sun is there. Natural swimming pool, cave, rivers, pachypodiums and lemurs are our main reason for visit. The driver leaves us on mountain foot and we start on discovering from here; driver pick-up us at another point at the end of afternoon and we profit our tour at windows Isalo on sunset.

Day 22

Ranohira – Camp Catta

We are still on sud; we pass on arid upland of IHOROMBE. Passing through to IHOSY where the most spectacular city on tobacco plantation. We continue our tour along route national 7 until Camp Catta village.

Day 23

Tsaranoro Valley

A day of sightseeing through the hills and mountains; various tour are available according to each physical condition but the most beautiful and popular is "chamelons". Do not forget to bring water, sunscreen, hat and picnic lunch.

Day 24

Camp Catta – Antsirabe

Road back to highlands. Short break at Ambalavao on visiting private reserve "ANJA", Antemoro paper and its workshop. One famous city on wine fabrication so no problem to buy and taste this local products.

Overnight to Green park hotel.
Day 25

Antsirabe - Antananarivo

End of tour at Madagascar. Road trip to the capital; lunch break at the upper town just near the queen's palace. We enjoy visiting this palace then get down to the train station and ZOMA market. Buying souvenirs at "digue" market and transfer to the airport.
