It’s a 15 days trip to the EST of Madagascar, accompganed by a professional guide who knows very well this place. Descent of the pangalane chanel from Mananjary to Mahanoro; tours of the plantation villages like cinnamon, vanilla, clove but also admiration of the wildlife of the east coast and its conditions of living. Andasibe and Ranomafana parks are the circuit points for finding lemur species. The trip ends at St.Marie or the paradise island. We suggest you this trip on June until September on having opprortunity to see the whales coming out from the sea.

Day 1

Antananarivo - Andasibe

Assistance from your hotel then drive to the route national N°2; It is possible to visit the Pereyas reserve with a short break photo at Mandraka.

Day 2

Andasibe

The park regroup the special reserve INDRI INDRI. The reserve is indeed famous for its INDRIS colonies with a powerful shout and impressive size. A 4 hour tour will be offered on ANALAMAZAOTRA circuit; departure to VAKONA reserve in the afternoon.
Day 3

Andasibe - Antsirabe

Same route as day 1; we cross the refreshing highlands with their surprising mud houses, their small churches perched on nipples or on the hillside, the imposing rocks everywhere, the ricefield terraces like a big staircase and sadder but not less spectacular, lavaka or collapse due to erosion. We stop in a small place that served a good meal for a lunch. We continue our trip on the route national N°7 by visiting the aluminum manufacturing at Ambatolampy. From this village is the most village coldest city at Madagascar in the austral winter.

Day 4

Antsirabe - Ranomafana

Visit of Antsirabe city; like the hotel of "THERMAL" where the king of Morocco Mohamed V spend some years on this place during his period of exile. A distance of about 90 km connects Antsirabe - Ambositra with a nice landscapes. It is the capital of craftsmanship and sculpture. Stop for lunche there and short visit to the art gallery; road direction to Ranomafana village in the afternoon.

Day 5

Ranomafana - Fianarantsoa

This village is lost in the Montaigne, hidden in the bottom of a large valley and immersed in the bush forest of the east but rich in biodiversity in fauna and flora. Ranomafana means "hot water". We start our visit very early so that we can admire and say "hello" to the lemurs.

Departure to Fianarantsoa around 11am; lunch break in a nice small corner with panoramic view of the city.

Visit of the town and SAHAMBAVY tea plantation.

Day 6

Fianarantsoa - Manakara

This company FCE ensures the outlets of the products between Fianarantsoa - Manakara. It's an old TRAIN and sometimes remains random. On this journey we will find the beauty of the landscape of the East. Many stop and in each area, the sellers offer their products like donut, banana ....

Day 7

Manakara - Mananjary

Road to Mananjary; during the roadtrip, we will see the plantations of coffee, cloves and we passed on the suspended bridge of Ampilajila. Short visit of the Mananajary city's then check in at vahiny Lodge.
Day 8

Mananjary - Ambohimahatsinjo

Departure at 7am; visit and discovery of craft workshops (weaving, basketry, construction of cage and canoe, forge ...) Continuation by crossing the extraordinary bay of Andragnazavaka with its huge stretch of water as far as the eye can see. Stop Ambohitsara from where the last village on the northeastern coast erected by the Antambahoaka ethnic group. Visit the enigmatic VATO SARILAMBO or the white elephant telling of this very origin of this ethnic group and a production of "betsabetsa" or local mead. Arrival at Ambohimahatsinjo campsite (where you can see all the horizons) then planting tents and preparing meals. This is a good spot overlooking the canal to set up the camp so you can admire the comings and goings of the bush boats and other rowing canoes of the fishermen who hasten to return home before night falls. Country dinner and campfire at the end of the evening, with songs and folk dancing of the young people of the village.
Day 9

Ambohimahatsinjo – Asohihy

We continue our journey along the pangalane channel. Arrival at Nosy varika around 10am. The village has become a big village; we will enjoy visiting and especially the market to find something organic, fresh for the lunch; re-boat and hold your breath, the crossing of the great Analampotsy lake will arrive after last half an hour and we must rely trust to our young driver on the skilling and direction to lead of the continuation of the channel.

The channel changes shape after there and rushes between high sand slopes edged with Niaouli forest. Lunch on board before going to Masomeloka. It is a charming little town nestled by coconut palms, Welcome to Asohihy, between sea and pangalane channel. Late afternoon free. Planting tents and preparing meals.
Day 10

Asohihy – Mahanoro – Vatomandry

Today is the day of hiking and the last day of our stay on the pangalane channel. It is a fairly easy flat climb of 10m at an altitude form the sea level. Boat in the barge and then join the starting point located on the Andranotsara ferry on the national road N°11. Passing to Ampanalana bridge, Photo shoot from the top of the bridge with panoramic view of the channel and our boat waiting underneath. Re-boat for Ambodiharina, a small village well animated by the commercial activities of the channel. Lunch on the fine sand of the bank of the mouth of Mangoro River and then crossed this huge mouth. Ultimate stop to visit the spice plantation, vanilla cloves and cinnamon. Arrival at Mahanoro around 15h then transfer by car to Vatomandry.

Day 11

Vatomandry – Tamatave – Mahambo

Road trip to Tamatave; it is the first commercial port of the island; capital of the Eastern Province and the BETSIMISARAKA ethnic group. We enjoy visiting the market, the old colonial houses and taste the seafood.

Departure to Mahambo after a good lunch in a small restaurant in front of the sea.

Day 12

Mahambo – St.Marie

The service of your driver end here; you will cross the sea with a safe speed boat. St.Marie is the most spectacular city to see whales from June to September. It is not at all, but there are its beautiful beaches on the paradisiac island with mats. St.Marie has more than 20,000 inhabitants and they are all nice, charming. To enjoy your vacation, we spent 2 days on this place to discover and relaxing; excursions will be possible, raid by V.T.T, by motor but you will arrange it directly with hotel.

Day 13 - 14

Sainte Marie

We have 2 full day to have some relax, beach or excursion... Possible to make an outing at sea for a day trip at the island at "île aux nattes". On board with a good boat, we can follow and wonder the whales alone, in groups or accompanied by their calf just out of their belly ... cracking.
Day 15

Sainte Marie - Antananarivo

Transfer to the airport of St.Marie then fight back to Antananarivo; visit of the city such as Queen's palace, ZOMA market and for ending to the "digue"market to buy some souvenirs.
